FESTHOMA 2024

The School was founded in 1789 as The Calcutta Free School. In 1923 The Calcutta Free School was officially renamed St. Thomas' after the Apostle on whose feast day the original 'Free School Society' has been founded.
It is the oldest Missionary School in Kolkata and the second oldest in India. The President of India is the traditional patron of the school and the Bishop of Calcutta is the Chairman of the Board of Governors.
The School provides free education along with hostel facilities for indigent Anglo-Indian children. It's doors are also open for children of every community. St. Thomas' School is the only known school to be guided by an act of Government.
The school aims at providing an all round education to children of all sections of society and giving them the knowledge, attitude, values and principles necessary to let them lead self sufficient, useful and socially contributive lives.
